Midwest Janitorial Service is looking to hire part time position for day/afternoon cleaning in Clinton, Iowa.

 

DAYS: Monday, Wednesday & Friday

SCHEDULE TIME: TBD

HOURS PER DAY: 5 hours per day

DESCRIPTION: Cleaning takes place in industrial setting and requires client back ground check. Must have exceptional customer service skills as work performed around client.

Position PT2QC: Part Time Facility Supervisor - Bettendorf, Iowa

 

DAYS: Monday - Friday

SCHEDULE TIME: After 6:00 pm.

HOURS PER DAY: 4.5 hours Monday - Thursday; 6.5 hours on Friday

DESCRIPTION: Midwest Janitorial Service is looking to hire a part time facility supervisor.  Position takes place in school setting. Position has assigned area to clean as well as overseeing two - three other employees.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: All positions will require general cleaning, sweeping, mopping. restroom cleaning, dusting and trash removal. Must be able to bend, twist, squat, lift 20-30 lbs and be on feet for entire shift. Must pass background and have reliable transportation.

WAGE: $11.00/hr. + $2.00 P/A bonus

DAYS: Monday, Wednesday, Friday

SCHEDULE TIME: 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

HOURS PER DAY: 2 hours per day

DESCRIPTION: Midwest Janitorial Service is looking to hire a part time custodian for general cleaning.  Facility must be cleaned between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: All positions will require general cleaning, sweeping, mopping. restroom cleaning, dusting and trash removal. Must be able to bend, twist, squat, lift 20-30 lbs and be on feet for entire shift. Must pass background and have reliable transportation.

WAGE: $13.50/hr.

Position PT4QC, PT5QC, PT6QC, PT7QC: Part Time Custodian - Quad Cities

Iowa and Illinois Available

DAYS: 1-5 days per week

SCHEDULE TIME: All shifts available but most positions are in evening after 6:00 pm.

HOURS PER DAY: 2 - 8 hours per day

DESCRIPTION: MJS is looking to hire staff that can work from one to five days per week. 10-25 hours per week depending on facilities assigned. Some facilities require weekend work. You pick schedule & days you can work!

JOB REQUIREMENTS: All positions will require general cleaning, sweeping, mopping. restroom cleaning, dusting and trash removal. Must be able to bend, twist, squat, lift 20-30 lbs and be on feet for entire shift. Must pass background and have reliable transportation.

WAGE: $7.25/hr - $15.50/hr

GENERAL INFORMATION

The position is responsible for general cleaning and maintenance of building.  Regularly cleans work areas and common areas throughout the building.  This includes, but is not limited to restrooms, floors, vacuuming, trash removal, etc.

 

Much of the work is performed in commercial, retail or medical facilities. We do provide service to some industrial facilities.

There is exposure to cleaning compounds that could affect those with allergies to cleaning products.

 

Physical demands may occur that are not listed here, but should be anticipated based on the job description as defined by the United States Department of Labor (DOL) - Most janitors and building cleaners work indoors. However, some work outdoors part of the time, sweeping walkways, mowing lawns, and shoveling snow. Since office buildings are often cleaned while they are empty, many cleaners work evening hours. The work can be physically demanding and sometimes dirty and unpleasant…They spend most of the day walking, standing, or bending while cleaning; and sometimes they must move or lift heavy supplies and equipment. As a result, the work may be strenuous on the back, arms, and legs. Some tasks, such as cleaning restrooms and trash areas, can be dirty and unpleasant.

Must pass background and have reliable transportation.  Must be able to read and/or understand GHS safety requirements and to follow directions and instructions.
